This is a short post…. after watching several youtube videos with the same subject and scoffing at each of them I was going to write my own recommendation but then I looked in the mirror.

WTF am I talking about? Ovre the last 15 years I have abandoned every last customerized terminal setting for “out of the box”. It’s just too damn hard to reconfigure a terminal configuration after hardware upgrades or replacement.

First of all my Macs have always crashed and required rebuilds about every 18 months. My linux machines about every 2 years.

same reason I like ChromeOS

So just forget it. Get used to the “out of the box” configuration and get back to work.
