Making Camp breakfast

Posted at — Jan 30, 2020

I have not gone hiking in over a year and I’m feeling the call of the wild. So this morning I decided to make a camp breakfast for fun. Bacon and Eggs. As a point of reference this meal was from the POV of a car camper. If I were hiking it would be a cold breakfast or something similar and without trash or cleanup.

My kit was quite minimal. I started with an alcohol stove to boil water for tea and a canister stove to cook the bacon and eggs. Along the way I had to make some changes.

The worst part of the experience was that the pan was burned. Clearly the temp was too hot. And while not trash free it was minimal. There is a case for tea or coffee without packaging.

I’m dreaming about breakfast tomorrow.
