I’ve been writing blogs for many years. The first one was a cross country travel blog from Seattle WA to Weston FL. I took pictures, wrote essays, uploaded daily, and shared with anyone willing to read.

In the last year, however, I’ve been more focused on software development, hiking, and Indian Princess. That was until I started this resource.

I started almost perfect because I was seeing a rash of systems’ problems out there and for the most part I had dealt with them one way or the other. These challenges fell into just a few categories like operator/user error, bugs, misrepresentation, cost, hardware failure and so on. And so I started to put together a list of nightmare events.

In a normal day I scan my newsfeeds and save links to calls for action due to these failures. But what I discovered was that the number of articles started to increase. Worse yet, most were duplicates. I remember a story about associated press. AP writes an article. Puts it on the “wire”. Subscribers can reprint it bu must change the headline and the first paragraph. And so all I was doing was reprinting the same crap each time my search popped.

This was clearly an echo chamber.

So this morning while looking at the number of posts in my queue and the realization that I really cannot effect change in that space; I’m going to change direction. I’m going to respond to real nightmare systems.
