jsaux FlipGo Pro

No secret here, I’m a ChromeBook user. When I travel I typically carry two ChromeBooks or one ChromeBook and one Android tablet; and from time to time I’ll bring a 15in dusplay.

The displays can get wonky, especially with ChromeOS, in that they need to support displayport or display link. And so the FlipGo is said to support both but it is so incredibly quirky.

my advice just avoid this product and likely the ones like it as it appears to be a marketing thing from China.

notes

Even though it has a bright orange protective folio is includes a reasonable stand. There is no reason to buy either of the stand accessories.

It includes a power supply but using the power supply renders some functions non operational in fact it simply did not work.

When I connected the display to my beefy Lenovo it seemed to work except the brightness would not go higher than 10.

The above example was with the USB displayport…. when I tried the HDMI it was strictly a single panel display. pushing the mode button did change the geometry but it’s not 50/50 and it’s quirky. Although the brightness worked.

And it’s really heavy.

Last year

Last year I reaveled seveal times and I had more than one sidecar monitor. They all worked great when I had the displayport USB cable.

returns

I don’t think I can return the display. China China China.
