I have been chasing the VPC-internet-gateway as described by DigitalOcean. There is nothing complicated about the system description as it is a reverse proxy in front of a collection of backend servers. While it’s hard not to notice haproxy advertising of 2M TPS. That’s amazing. But as I’m sitting here looking at the OpenBSD web stack it seems so much more refined and the reality is not many of us are going to see 2M TPS.
