Nim From Scratch

Posted at — Sep 16, 2020

I’m already disappointed with nim but I find myself dragged back in. It took one modern video and one older video. Essentially memory move and meta-programming. The meta-programming was novel because it pointed me to wxwidgets and then I poked at wxhtml(not supported directly).

Here’s the thing. Nim checks a number of boxes. Nim is essentially a preprocessor that abstracts all sort of C/C++ junk like memory management and so on. So being able to describe business processes and logic in that layer is quite strong. However, while it does manage to compile and run on xBSD I just do not know how reliable the stack is when considering the Pandemic Tech. (PS nim still depends on CLang or GCC ec)

Thaks again Nim but so long.
