I’m not certain whether “the register” is a real news source. Apparently they are reporting that the new Ubiquiti router phones home and transfers some data. While I know what that means I have no idea what that means. What was surprising is that ubiquiti responded “what of it?”.

Well we know that there is no such thing as anonymous data so why pretend?
