Pop(OS) Goes the Weasel

Yada yada yada blah blah blah

I’m not sure where this all started… OK, OpenBSD sucks. Really OpenBSD is not a high functioning desktop without a lot of custom work. And that’s too bad. And so today I’ve had to decide between ClearLinux and Pop_OS. I started with CL and was successful but as they say it themselves it’s not meant for prod. And sadly I was just trying to get some basic stuff done and it simply did not have the features.

But as there always is there is some customization and that’s why I like ChromeOS as it’s only the basics.

One of the things that I liked about ClearLinux was also the think I hated. They took an immutable approach to the system configuration. It worked just great… until you needed to do something. And then the packaging was actually bundled so that made things a challenge too.

As for Pop_OS it just seems to work except when it stops but system76 while they are not Canonical they are trying hard.

NOTE A bunch of stuff is missing here.
