Define MAAS: Metal as a service

It’s great that Canonical glued it all together and it feels like an all in one framework where the tools and options all look the same… At the end of the day this looks like a PXE boot installation with some configuration. I’m not sure why anyone other than a cloud service provider would want so many idle systems waiting for on-demand allocation. About the only reason I can see is if the business is a very elastic environment or possibly a light’s out operation where the datacenter foot print is optimized before the number of idle machines.

None of this applies to me no MAAS is is a hard pass.
