Sitting at a starbucks trying to get some basic work and surfing done things went upside down when my Lenovo C13 Yoga (i7) failed to open it’s Bluetooth connection to my phone. At about the same time my VPN connection also started misbehaving.

I think I forgot about that… sigh.

Things I like about my C13 are:

• the keyboard
• the slide in front of the camera
• it’s an i7
• has tons of RAM (16GB)

Things I hate about ChromeOS:

• no real built-in VPN
• intermittant Bluetooth
• intermittant Wifi Networking (might actually be Starbucks)
• COG says it’s not using all the threads
• Android 11 is not universally available
• Chrome Flex does not support Android
• no split DNS
• single active VPN only

Frankly there are no real solutions here. Not even Apple, Linux, or Microsoft. The networking world is just too fragile and I do not feel like carrying around so many different compute devices for every occasion.
